Why Judicial Mediation

Judicial mediation like all types of mediation is voluntary and is governed by the principles of all types of mediation, it is mainly used for those with an Employment Tribunal claim as an alternative to resolve an employment or workplace dispute without having to go to a full hearing.

Judicial Mediation Process

As with all other types of mediation, anything that is said or done during the judicial mediation cannot be used in any subsequent tribunal hearing should the matter not be resolved at mediation.

Judicial Mediation Types

However it can be used in all other types of disputes where the parties would like their mediator to be a practicing Judge. For workplace and employment disputes, usually a trained employment judge will act as the mediator who is independent and will assist the parties to try and resolve their dispute.
