ADR Group Conference –ADR Group’s Annual Conference will be taking place on Thursday the 5th December 2013 in Oxford. Having attended the conference for the last seven years it is a must for any mediators.
Although it is attended by ADR Group mediators, members, non-members, practicing mediators, solicitors, barristers, members of the judiciary, students, academics, business people and others are all welcomed.
ADR Group Conference – Venue
The venue is usually the Said Business School right in the middle of Oxford, with local car parks and the train station, therefore it is very accessible.
The format of the conference is very interactive, a lunch, followed by a series of guest speakers delivering their perspectives on all issues mediation, relative to their jurisdiction part of the world.
ADR Group Conference – High Profile Speakers.
Previous speakers have included high profile guests some who happen to be ADR Group accredited mediators such as Joshua Rozenberg who delivered a very fascinating lecture consisting of interesting developments in the ADR and mediation world, his own personal perspective and a tremendous amount of good humor.
Joshua Rozenberg has been called Britain’s best-known commentator on the law, one of the UK’s 100 most influential lawyers by The Times, these being just two of his many multitude of accomplishments.
ADR Group staff also report upon their year of operation, the various mediation services, schemes and iniatives they have been involved in the progress of these, as well as commenting on the markets they are looking to expand into especially internationally as well as the UK mediation market, how it is developing and what they are doing to promote the same.
Although the conference is primarily attended by ADR Group accredited mediators, delegates also consist of mediators who have been accredited through CEDR, as well as mediators who have been accredited through other providers.
The conference attracts CPD hours, points, 5 hours for ADR Group purposes, 3.5 hours through the Bar Council and the Law Society. This years speakers have not yet been confirmed, however these should be made available shortly and published on the ADR Group’s website.
