Association of Midlands Mediators

The Association of Midlands Mediators will be holding its next mediators feedback session on Wednesday 7th August 2013 at the Birmingham offices of Pinsent Masons.

The feedback sessions allow the associations mediators to exchange tips, best practice and discuss the latest developments in the mediation world whereby through sharing we learn off one another what does, does not work and how to become more effective as mediators. 

The sessions usually last between an hour or two, they are highly interactive and a must for any mediator whatever stage they are at in their mediation career.

The Association of Midlands Mediators has been in existence since the year 2000, therefore just over thirteen years, it was set up by a group of mediators who felt that there needed to be a regional mediation organisation to represent the Midlands as well to supply mediators and mediation services to the Midlands law firms, businesses and individuals.

For years the Association of Midlands Mediators were one of the key designated organisations who provided mediators and mediation services to Birmingham Civil Justice Centre, being a provider to the National Mediation Helpline and accredited through the Civil Mediation Council.

Since the closure of the National Mediation Helpline the Association of Midlands Mediation continues to be a listed provider for the Civil on line directory.

Currently the Association of Midlands Mediators has several mediators on its civil and commercial mediation panel and has recently set up a workplace mediation panel. All of its mediators are insured, supervised and comply with the European Code of Conduct for Mediators.

The panel comprises of mediators from a variety of professional backgrounds who specialise in a variety of disputes from neighbour disputes, boundary disputes, construction disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, shareholder disputes, probate disputes to name a few. 

Equally the association also runs a variety of CPD events and mediation training events throughout the year for its members.
