The workplace mediation awards ceremony is to be held by the Professional Mediators Association in London on Thursday 25th September 2014 the venue and location is yet to be announced.

The Professional Mediators Association is a non profit membership organisation for mediators who provide business, employment and workplace mediation services.

The Professional Mediators Association provide an array of continuous professional development opportunities through a series of events throughout the year, the organisation is ran by mediators for mediators.

The National Mediation Awards is now running for its third year, and has a number of categories for which awards can be given.

Some of last years winners included the Arcadia Group who are the UKs biggest fashion retailer, boasting over five hundred stores in over thirty five markets, they were awarded Mediation Scheme of the Year.

In another category Mediation Newcomer the award went to the BIS Regional Mediation Network. The award for Mediation Scheme Co-coordinator of the Year went to Newham Councils Catherine Anderson.

Stacey Jean-Baptiste employed by DHLs Supply Chain was awarded In-house Mediator of the Year.

The award for Independent Mediator of the Year went to Dilys Lloyd who is also an accredited mediator through CEDR and employment mediation specialist. Mediator Champion of the year was awarded to Sajjad Iqbal.

Although the ceremony and event is to celebrate and recognise the achievements of individual mediators and mediation services providers, it also seeks those involved in alternative dispute resolution to highlight what is going on in the mediation world, especially in their particular specialism and practice, as well as to talk shop and share war stories.

Awards are given by industry leaders who have been appointed as the judges which this year will be led by Michael Gibbons who is a leading authority on workplace mediation and employment disputes and a promoter of the same.
